Lonestar Skoolie was founded by Ben after he converted a school bus for his family to travel the country in. Ben quickly realized he not only had talent in the design and construction of skoolies, but also loved the culture and people he met who also wanted to get off the grid.
Soon he had people lining up to help build the skoolie of their dreams too. With a background in small businesses in construction and tech, Ben decided to build a brand around his passion and formed Lonestar Skoolies in San Antonio, TX. Since then he has built dozens of conversions for people all over the country and has even expanded to vans and container box homes.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple at Lonestar Skoolie- to give other people the ability to bring their "off the grid" dreams to life. Whether that dream is to completely pickup and leave the city to live remotely, or just make a weekend vehicle that feels like home, we will work around your budget and taste to bring make your vision a reality. Customer satisfaction is paramount at Lonestar, as sharing the joy our customers get out of their skoolie is our ultimate reward.
